The Gilgen Doors sliding door at the main entrance had a simple, local control system without a calendar. This meant the door always had to be locked and unlocked manually. This door electronics system provides us with a potential-free interface through which we can now handle the locking and unlocking.
The calendar was configured according to the town hall's opening hours and supplemented with a holiday calendar. Now, no one has to think about operating the door anymore; everything happens completely automatically, including Sunday openings on election weekends.
Using a web interface, the town hall manager can manually lock and unlock the door from anywhere.
An email notification alerts the responsible staff to each locking and unlocking of the door, allowing them to monitor the automation system's functionality.
The properties in the municipality are sometimes quite far apart. E-bikes are available for employees to reserve. Employees receive access to the e-bikes via email with the appropriate authorization.
Thanks to the use of xaxada, the administration for this service has been drastically reduced. Maintenance costs have also been minimized, keys are no longer lost, and it is always possible to track who is currently using a bicycle.

The Widi Treff clubhouse offers Zuchwil clubs and associations, as well as external groups, the opportunity to rent the clubhouse for their events. To ensure that no one needs to be present for the handover, this task has been outsourced to xaxada access control.
Renters receive an email with a link that leads to the web interface for opening and closing the doors. The link expires automatically at the end of the configured rental period, greatly simplifying the otherwise very complex access management process.
As part of the renovation, the shading control system was outsourced to xaxada. Each of the building's blind motors was connected to our automation solution, allowing manual control via push buttons in the respective offices. The blinds automatically lower in the evening and raise again in the morning during the winter. In the summer, the blinds remain lowered to prevent heat buildup in the building. The switch from summer to winter mode is controlled via a web switch, which can also be scheduled using a calendar function.
For maintenance, a web switch was created that raises the blinds and disables the push buttons and automations to prevent any risk of injury to the technician.
Two wind sensors continuously monitor the wind speed on the east and west facades of the building. When the measured wind speed reaches 25 km/h, corresponding to an actual wind speed of over 40 km/h, the blinds on the corresponding facade are raised and the push button function is disabled. This prevents any damage to the fabric blinds. These blinds can be down when wet, therefore a rain sensor was omitted.
