For new buildings, centralized cabling for the entire building, per floor or room, is recommended. This means that every device, every switch, every actuator, and every sensor is centrally wired. Centralized building cabling offers high flexibility, as all components can be individually linked and the control system can be easily replaced at any time.
In existing buildings, wireless components, specifically Wi-Fi actuators and sensors, are used to avoid the need for major structural modifications. These are often the right choice for rental apartments.
With integrated MQTT communication, sensors and actuators from around the world can be integrated for customized processes.
Fieldbus systems operate on a one-way street principle: either data is being sent or received – neatly one after the other.

Because our system is consistently IP-based, the administration and user interface works natively in any standard browser (as a Progressive Web App). Example: Truck driver:
A delivery is expected. In order for the truck driver to hand over the delivery, he needs to be able to open the barrier to the area. Using xaxada, he will be sent a time-limited link which he can use to open the barrier on his smartphone.

xaxada uses smart algorithms and artificial intelligence (machine learning) as the central brain of your building. The major advantage: You can install completely conventional, manufacturer-independent devices (buttons, sensors) without their own intelligence in the rooms. If security is a top priority, Internet access is dispensed with if the corresponding functions are available.
xaxada has an advantage over many competitors because no so-called proprietary protocols or corresponding hardware are required. According to the motto: “keep it simple”. xaxada is always online - every component can be reached in a fraction of a second thanks to computer networks and/or radio. Adjustments are made centrally, simply on a website. You decide whether a function can only take place in the building or is available via the Internet. Thanks to sophisticated cluster technology, a small, slumbering second central computer takes over the system's tasks if a technical problem occurs. This is particularly useful for company premises and large properties so that work can be carried out without delay.
Actuators and sensors are used that have no intelligence themselves. This makes the infrastructure completely manufacturer-independent; replacement products can be purchased anywhere, including in the hardware store around the corner if necessary. The building cabling is done in the classic way; any electrical installation company, even without smart home experience, can install the infrastructure for xaxada. The cabling leads to a technical room or technical cabinet in which the xaxada control center is ultimately installed. Actuators and sensors have nothing to do with each other before configuration; the user links them with xaxada according to his or her ideas.
xaxada features virtual relays, bringing true artificial intelligence and dynamic decision-making processes to your building. Virtual relays act as intelligent data hubs: they evaluate complex conditions (such as weather data, user behavior, and energy tariffs) in a multi-layered and predictive manner, instead of simply executing rigid if-then commands. This technology enables smart switching processes that significantly increase the level of automation compared to traditional systems. Conditions can activate or deactivate functions. Using virtual relays requires a deeper understanding of switching processes and is correctly configured for you by electrical installation partners in the xaxada administration interface. The virtual relays in xaxada can influence each other in any dimension, making them a very powerful tool.
A simple and one-dimensional example of how a virtual relay functions is summer/winter switching – independent of an automatic date change, e.g., initiated by pressing a button – meaning processes should run in winter but not in summer.
In building automation, operational reliability is paramount. The xaxada control unit is supplied as a twin pack: two fundamentally independent units that communicate constantly with each other. If necessary, one unit takes over all tasks if it no longer receives a response.
Cluster failover technology: The 4-20mA sensor offers a significant safety advantage. If a sensor fails, the signal drops to 0mA and automatically generates a fault message, enabling an immediate response and thus rapid resolution of the fault.
